Buying the wrong brand, though, is one of the biggest mistakes you can make with trampolines.

Over 100,000 trampoline injuries occur each year, making it imperative to purchase a trampoline that is both safe and fun. 

As a trampoline brand ourselves, and the pioneer behind the springless trampoline, we’re as knowledgeable as anybody about the trampoline industry, including all the major brands. 

Today, we’re going to use our insider expertise to list the five best trampoline brands based on five popular categories:

Before diving in, we want to be transparent about how we crafted this List.

Our experts, with over 20 years in the industry, objectively evaluated each mainstream trampoline brand to find the best ones.

Our List is category-based, from "Best Value" to "Best Premium."

Below you will find the winner for each category, along with their brand’s history, what they sell, strengths, weaknesses and a summary of why they were chosen. 

All prices are the original purchase value and don't reflect any promotions the companies may be running. 

1. Best Value: Jumpzylla 

Brand History: Jumpzylla is a newer trampoline brand, established in 2020, but has quickly gained traction for its uniquely designed and reasonably affordable trampolines. 

What Do They Sell? 

• Jumpzylla Model S Trampolines (10 ft, 12 ft, 14 ft, $300.95-$529.95) 

• Jumpzylla 8 ft Trampoline ($380) 

• Jumpzylla 10 ft Trampoline ($319.95)

Brand Strengths:  

• Relatively affordable upfront price. 

• Unique curved-pole design for most of their catalog (Model S Trampolines have straight poles). 

• Their trampolines are generally easy to install, according to verified Amazon reviews.  

• Have notably high single-jumper trampoline weight limits (330-450 pounds).  

• Come with features that protect against rust, like a galvanized steel frame and powder-coated legs.   

• You can customize the colour (currently eight colour options listed) of the spring padding on most of their trampolines. 

Brand Weaknesses: 

• Trampolines only have a one-year warranty, which could result in a short product lifespan (think 1-3 years) or the need to buy replacement parts after a year. Safety could also be compromised on a trampoline that is lower-quality.

• They only sell round trampolines. Older kids and adults who prefer more jumping room for gymnastics or workouts wouldn't be the best fit for a Jumpzylla Trampoline. 

• Limited trampoline accessory offerings. They currently sell Wind Stakes, LED Lights and Double-Sided Spring Cover Padding. 

Verdict:  

For an affordable trampoline, Jumpzylla has some solid features. 

The high weight limits and customization options for the spring padding stand out. 

Their trampolines aren't necessarily built to last, though. 

The one-year warranty means you should prepare to replace parts like the springs and net after the first year. You can buy an extended warranty but it only extends coverage for an additional year. 

Families looking for a long-term trampoline likely wouldn't be the best fit for Jumpzylla.

2. Best Mid-Budget Choice: Jumpflex 

 

Brand History: Launched in 2009, Jumpflex started as a small company but has grown into one of the notable brands in the trampoline industry with its green-and-black backyard trampolines.    

What Do They Sell? 

• Hero 12 ft Trampoline ($1,049)
• Hero 14 ft Trampoline ($1,149)
• Hero 15 ft Trampoline ($1,249)
• 7 Trampoline Accessories ($29-$159)  
• Lifetime Warranty ($69) 

 

Brand Strengths:  

• Unique and fashionable design that includes curved poles.  

• The frame, mat and springs are good-quality. 

• Metal components undergo a six-layer rust-proofing process. 

• Offer a 10-year warranty for their frame on manufactured defects (can purchase a lifetime warranty for $69).

• Have a solid range of accessories, including a water sprinkler and slide.

Brand Weaknesses: 

• Very little variety—they only sell three core trampolines and they are all round. They have sold Limited Edition Trampolines before. 

• Trampoline safety concerns: Although their trampoline poles are curved, they are still static and could cause injury to wayward jumpers. Gaps between the mat and the net are possible, exposing the metal springs and a potential falling area.  

• The standard warranty covers the frame for 10 year, but the rest of the components are covered for 1-5 years. The spring padding and net may have to be replaced after a year.  

• Low recommended single jumper weight limits on their trampolines (198 pounds.) 

Verdict:  

Jumpflex is a decent, mid-budget, choice for a trampoline brand.

Their trampolines look sleek and the frames are good-quality, backed by a 10-year warranty. 

They do not have a large variety to choose from, though.

Parts will also likely need to be replaced within 1-5 years (hinted at by the warranty coverage). There recommended weight capacity of 198 pounds is also below-average.

3. Best Bounce: ACON 

 

Brand History: ACON was established in 1996 with roots in Finland and they introduced their first trampoline-branded model, the ACON Air, in 2003. ACON also sells gymnastics and ice hockey equipment.  

What Do They Sell? 

• 7 Rectangle Trampolines ($1,899-$5,290) 

• 13 Round Trampolines ($479-$2,207) 

• 8 Rebounders ($449-$578)  

• 32 Trampoline Accessories ($9-$7,990) 

Brand Strengths:  

• Good variety of trampolines and accessories to choose from. 

• Unique Nordic design. 

• ACON’s X-Series Springs provide a solid bounce—and you can upgrade it by choosing their “Performance” Option—which uses Piano Wire Springs.  

• High-quality components, backed by a 10-year warranty on the trampoline frame and five years on the springs and mat.   

Brand Weaknesses: 

• Their outdoor trampolines can be pricey for some.  

• Some of their trampolines have springs inside the jumping area—which can cause injury if the padding starts to wear down. Metal static poles also create an injury risk. 

• ACON's net and net poles are only covered for one year, which means they might need to be replaced after a year of use.

• Assembly can be challenging, especially for the bigger models. 

Verdict:  

ACON has a top-of-the-line, spring-based, bounce and has several different trampoline shapes and sizes you can choose from.

For higher-priced trampolines, they do have some safety concerns and the net/net poles might need to be replaced sooner than you would expect for the price.

4. Best Variety: Skywalker Trampolines 

Brand History: Skywalker Trampolines was founded around 2005 and have grown from a local company in Utah to a brand that is now across almost 30 retailers worldwide.   

What Do They Sell? 

• 14 Round Trampolines ($339-$1,029) 

• 2 Rectangle Trampolines ($849-$1,099) 

• 2 Square Trampolines ($814-$1,249)

Brand Strengths:  

• Trampolines are relatively affordable.

• Good catalog of backyard trampolines to choose from, including their Classic Series and Epic Series.

• All products come with their patented no-gap enclosure. This helps eliminate gaps between the net and mat. 

• Plenty of games and accessories to choose from. 

Brand Weaknesses: 

• The bulk of their catalog is budget trampolines, so they are not the best quality. 

• Numerous safety hazards on most of their trampolines, including metal static poles and a fragile net.  

• Low and limited warranty on many of their trampolines (1-3 years for all materials). Parts will likely need to be replaced early during ownership to upkeep the Trampoline.

• The design of most Skywalker models is basic. 

Verdict:  

Overall, Skywalker is a brand that is a good fit for families looking to choose from a variety of budget trampolines of different sizes. 

However, they come up short on numerous safety/durability features.

Their low warranty coverage means early maintenance will probably be needed to keep the trampoline in good shape. 

They are a solid value brand but wouldn't be the best fit for families looking for a long-term trampoline.

5. Best Premium: Springfree Trampoline 

 

Brand History: Springfree Trampoline originated in the early 2000s and was the first non-traditional trampoline introduced to the market. Today, Springfree Trampoline is still the only brand that exclusively sells springless trampolines.    

What Do They Sell?

Brand Strengths:  

• Trampolines are considered the safest due to features like their springless design, FlexiNet, SoftEdge Mat, hidden frame and use of flexible enclosure rods instead of static metal poles.

• Made from quality materials such as galvanized steel base with three layers of rust protection and patented composite fiberglass rods for the jumping system.

• Comprehensive 10-year warranty is included for all parts.

• Maximize jumping space due to the no-spring design (springs take off roughly 2 ft of jump space on traditional trampolines). 

• Visually pleasing design that adds to a backyard’s aesthetic.  Only brand to offer advanced trampoline customization, where you can choose from seven different colors. 

Brand Weaknesses: 

• Premium-priced and may be out-of-budget for some.

• Can be difficult to assemble by yourself (professional trampoline installation is offered for $399.)

Verdict:  

From a quality and safety perspective, Springfree Trampolines are the best outdoor trampoline you can purchase.

Their uniquely-designed trampolines maximize jump space and stand out visually in a backyard. 

Since they are premium trampolines, the price might be out of budget for some families. Assembly can also be challenging, particularly the installation of the mat rods.
